Captain Josh LeBlanc
President, Teamsters Local 357
Captain Josh LeBlanc is a 16-year veteran of Republic Airline and currently serves as the Teamsters Union Local 357 Executive Board President. Re-elected in October 2017, he will begin a new 3-year term in January 2018.
As the Principle Officer of the Local, his primary responsibility is providing leadership, guidance and support for the 15 Committee Chairpersons, and the Executive Board.
Captain LeBlanc is a Board Member of the Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations (CAPA), and a Trustee of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Joint Council 69. These roles facilitate the ability to present Local 357 positions on important industry issues to decision makers in Washington from Legislative Assistants to Presidential Cabinet Secretaries.
Prior to joining the aviation industry, he worked in several Consulting Engineering capacities. Josh attended Comair Aviation Academy, and was subsequently hired by PDK Flight Academy in Atlanta, serving as Assistant Chief Flight Instructor. Hired by Chautauqua Airlines in early 2001, he has been a Captain on both the E-145 and E-170/175.
Captain LeBlanc is a 1994 graduate of the University of Maine with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. He resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with his daughter Abigail and enjoys road bicycling, Triumph motorcycles, and New England area sports teams.
