(Washington, D.C. – August 10, 2021) The Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations (CAPA) issued the following statement on the U.S. Senate’s Confirmation Jennifer Homendy as the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair.
“We applaud the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Jennifer Homendy as the Chair of the NTSB,” stated CAPA President Capt. Larry Rooney. “She is a strong safety advocate, having spent nearly two decades supporting the critical safety mission of the NTSB,” he added.
The Honorable Homendy has a deep understanding of the multi-modal transportation network and its’ complexities. We look forward to working with NTSB Chair Homendy and to our continued aviation safety collaboration with the NTSB.
