The Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations (CAPA) is the world’s largest pilot trade association representing over 35,000 professional passenger and all-cargo airline pilots.  CAPA’s mission is to address safety, security, legislative and regulatory issues affecting the professional flight deck crew members on matters of common interest to the individual member unions. We are an advocate for strong safety and security programs that continue to fortify the continuously vulnerable aviation industry.

We work collaboratively and cooperatively with government agencies to reconstruct a more secure operating environment for our passengers and fellow aircrew members within the aviation industry; an industry critical to the economic infrastructure of the United States, affecting nearly 10% of the GDP.

CAPA is well-known in Congress and among Government Agencies for its collective strength, integrity, and responsible approach when addressing issues of common interest for pilots and for the safety of the traveling public.  CAPA is presently focused on a number of key concerns facing the airline industry and the millions who depend on it every day.

The six-member associations of CAPA are:

Allied Pilots Association (APA) – American Airlines

Independent Pilots Association (IPA) – UPS Airlines

NetJets Association of Shared Aircraft Pilots (NJASAP) – NetJets
